Aquarius Season

Aquarius is my favorite zodiac sign. I’m a Gemini sun, Virgo rising and Aquarius moon. Aquarius, a sign that is ruled by Saturn, the planet of structure, time and discipline. It’s also ruled by Uranus, the planet of revolution, awakening and truth telling.This zodiac has no issue reminding us that our own thoughts might just be the root to our problem.

Aquarius is an air sign, and air works through the mind. Since a child, we’ve developed likes and dislikes, friends and foes, rights and wrongs. Many of these have already been decided for us depending on where we live, go to school, our parents, culture and environment.

For example, take a child from Brooklyn, NY and bring them to New Delhi, India and watch how the child will be amazed at all the differences around them. It’s a whole new reality.

This season is here to remind us that our habits, patterns and inner dialogue are important to the quality of our life. Aquarius, while recognizing the collective and being aware of the web where we all weave, is interested in our individuality.

Aquarius season reminds us that we are all authentic. Authenticity is a valuable expression of life. We watch those we find to be authentic with awe, don’t we? We value people who live in their truth. In a world that creates a lot of frequencies and energies, it can get loud in our mind and cause confusion about what exactly are we here to do?

I have a small exercise that hopefully will provide big gains during this season. If Aquarius is asking you to shine, what habits or patterns are blocking you from living with the knowledge that you are so supported and you have all the power that you need.

I invite you to take out a piece of paper. Hold a pen in your hand. Make two columns. The first column on the left, title it as WANTS. The second column on the right, title it as RELEASE. In the WANT column, write everything your heart desires. No one is going to see this list so be creative, be honest. Nothing to be embarrassed about. I always include that I want a beach house. Now on the RELEASE side, look at your day to day. Where are you spending your time, energy, efforts that you’d like to change? Maybe it’s the amount of time spent thinking about the future, or the scrolling on social media. No judgement only awareness so you can detect what frequency you are willing to let go of in order to move into the frequency of your desires.

During this season, we’re invited to observe ourselves rather than over-identify with what we feel. That doesn’t mean bypassing emotion—it means creating enough space to understand it.
